明初南京有望月楼、玩月桥，清代狮子山下筑朝月楼，皆供人赏月，而以游玩月桥者为最。人们在明月高悬时，结伴同登望月楼、游玩月桥，以共睹玉兔为乐。“玩月桥”在夫子庙秦淮河南，桥旁为名妓马湘兰宅第，这夜，士子聚集桥头笙箫弹唱，追忆牛渚玩月，对月赋诗，故称此桥为玩月桥。明亡后，渐渐衰落，后人有诗去：“风流南曲已烟销，剩得西风长板桥，却忆玉人桥上坐，月明相对教吹箫”。长板桥，即原先的玩月桥。近年来，南京夫子庙已重新修葺，恢复明清年间的一些亭阁，疏浚河道，待到中秋佳节时，就可结伴同来领略此地的玩月佳趣了。

江苏省无锡县中秋夜要烧斗香。香斗四周糊有纱绢，绘有月宫中的景色。也有香斗以线香编成，上面插有纸扎的魁星及彩色旌旗。上海人中秋宴以桂花蜜酒佐食。

江西省吉安县在中秋节的傍晚，每个村都用稻草烧瓦罐。待瓦罐烧红后，再放醋进去。这时就会有香味飘满全村。新城县过中秋时，自八月十一夜起就悬挂通草灯，直至八月十七日止。

安徽省婺源中秋节，儿童以砖瓦堆一中空宝塔。塔上挂以帐幔匾额等装饰品，又置一桌于塔前，陈设各种敬“塔神”的器具。夜间则内外都点上灯烛。绩溪中秋儿童打中秋炮。中秋炮是以稻草扎成发辫状，浸湿后再拿起来向石上打击，使发出巨响并有游火龙的风俗。火龙是以称草扎成的龙，身上插有香柱。游火龙时有锣鼓队同行，游遍各村后再送至河中。

四川省人过中秋除了吃月饼外，还要打粑、杀鸭子、吃麻饼、蜜饼等。有的地方也点桔灯，悬于门口，以示庆祝。也有儿童在柚子上插满香，沿街舞动，叫做“舞流星香球”。嘉定县中秋节祭土地神、扮演杂剧、声乐、文物，称为“看会”。

在北方，山东省庆云县农家在八月十五祭土谷神，称为“青苗社”。诸城、临沂和即墨等地除了祭月外，也得上坟祭祖。冠县、莱阳、广饶及邮城等地的地主也在中秋节宴请佃户。即墨中秋节吃一种应节食品叫“麦箭”。山西省潞安则在中秋节宴请女婿。大同县则把月饼称为团圆饼，在中秋夜有守夜之俗。

河北省万全县称中秋为“小元旦”，月光纸上绘有太阴星君及关帝夜阅春秋像。河间县人认为中秋雨为苦雨，若中秋节下雨，当地人则认为青菜必定味道不佳。

陕西省西乡县中秋夜男子泛舟登崖，女子安排佳宴。不论贫富，必食西瓜。中秋有吹鼓手沿门吹鼓，讨赏钱。洛川县中秋节家长率学生带礼物为先生拜节，午饭多于校内聚餐。

一些地方还形成了很多特殊的中秋习俗。除了赏月、祭月、吃月饼外，还有香港的舞火龙、安徽的堆宝塔、广州的树中秋、晋江的烧塔仔、苏州石湖看串月、傣*的拜月、苗族的跳月、侗*的偷月亮菜、高*族的托球舞等。

The Mid-Autumn Festival

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a very important Chinese festival. It falls on

the 15th day of August. A few days before the festival， everyone in the family

will help to make the house clean and beautiful. Lanterns will be hung in front

of the house.

On the evening there will be a big family dinner. People who work far away

from their homes will try to come back for the union. After dinner， people will

light the lanterns which are usually red and round. Children will play with

their own toy lanterns happily.

At night the moon is usually round and bright. People can enjoy the moon

while eating moon-cakes which are the special food for this festival. They can

look back on the past and look forward to the future together. It is said that

there was a dragon in the sky. The dragon wanted to swallow up the moon. To

protect the frighten the dragon away.

中秋节是中国一个很重要的节日，在八月十五号。在节日来临的前几天，家庭中的每一个人都帮着打扫房子，把房子装扮得漂漂亮亮的，灯笼挂在屋前。

晚上有一顿美餐，离家在外工作的人也要回来团圆。晚饭后，人们点亮灯笼，一般是红色的圆灯笼。孩子们会高高兴兴地玩他们的玩具灯笼。

晚上月亮又圆又大，人们在赏月的同时吃着中秋节特别的食品——月饼。人们在一起回顾过去，展望未来。据说天上有一条龙，它要把月亮吞下去。为了保护月亮，孩子们要弄出很大的响动把龙吓跑。

Which is better, shopping online or traditional shopping? Different people have different attitudes towards it. Some people think that online shopping is very convenient, for it can save them a lot of time and energy. It’s especially helpful for those who are always busy with their work. Besides, through the internet, they can get more information about the commodities they want to buy and buy a lot of things that cannot be bought in local places.

网上购物还是传统购物，那种方式更好呢？每个人对这事的看法都不一样。有些人认为网购十分方便，因为这种方式可以节省许多的时间和精力。特别是对那些工作十分繁忙的人来说，网购帮了大忙。此外，通过网络他们可以知道关于他们想购买的产品的信息，还能卖到当地没有卖的商品。

Nevertheless, I’m not keen on online shopping at all, since most commodities which are bought online are of poor quality. Once we are cheated, we may find it difficult to make a complaint. Thus we should take more cautions when shopping online.

尽管如此，我还是不太热衷于网购，因为大多数我们网购而来的产品的质量劣质。一旦我们上当受骗，我们会发现我们无处投诉。因此我们网购时要非常的谨慎。

In my eyes, I prefer traditional shopping, because I can choose what I really need. Also, I can know the quality of every commodity more clearly. Even if there’s something wrong with the commodities, I can still ask the sellers to compensate for my loss.

The summer holiday is coming. Our class have had a discussion about what to do during the holiday. Some are in favor of staying at home. They think its both convenient and comfortable. The Mid-AutumnFestival has all interesting history. Long ago in one of the dynasties of China there was a king who was very cruel to the people and did not manage the country well. The people were so angry that some brave ones suggested killing the king. So they wrote notes telling about the meeting place and time and put them into cakes. On the 15th day of the 8th lunar month every person was told to buy the cakes. When they ate them they discovered the notes. So they gathered together to make a sudden attack on the king. From then on the Chinese people celebrate on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month and eat "moon cakes" in memory of that important event.

When the Mid-Autumn Festival is near, shop windows are beautifully decorated. Many "moon cakes" are displayed for people to buy. People send presents such as wine, fruits and "moon cakes" to their friends and relatives. In the evening of the day, they have a feast. After the feast, they go out to the garden to look at the moon. The children run and laugh on the streets.

It is believed that the moon is at her brightest on this night. Many poems have been written about it, and poets are never tired of reading and writing such poems. In Chinese literature, the moon of the Mid Autumn Festival has been compared to a looking-glass, a jade rabbit, and so on. It seems that Chinese literature takes far more interest in the moon than in the sun.
