There are many traditional festivals in China. My favourite festival is the Spring Festival. It is a very important festival for Chinese. Before the festival, people will go to visit their relatives and friends. They usually have a big dinner together and give best wishes to each other. Most children in China love this festival because they can play fireworks and lucky money from their parents and relatives.

中秋节，是农历的九月十五。在那一天，我认为大家赏月，吃月饼只是一些无味的仪式罢了，然而，五岁那年的九月十五，我觉得中秋节真的是我们的节日，任由我们这些孩子去幻想的节日。

五岁那年的中秋节，我才上幼儿园大班，脑子里充满童趣。

Mid-autumn Festival is a popular and important lunar harvest festival

celebrated by Chinese people. The festival is held on the 15thday of the eighth

month in the Chinese calendar. There are some traditions in this holiday. For

example, people would have a big dinner with their families. After dinner, they

often enjoy the full moon which is round and bright. The other tradition of

mid-autumn festival is eating moon cake. Moon cake is the essential of that day,

which means reunion. As time goes by, there are various kinds of moon cakes, but

they are much more expensive than before. I like mid-autumn festival because my

families will get together and have a big dinner on that day.

There is this story about the moon-cake. during the Yuan dynasty China was ruled by the Mongolian people. Leaders from the preceding Sung dynasty were unhappy at submitting to the foreign rule, and set how to coordinate the rebellion without being discovered. The leaders of the rebellion, knowing that the Moon Festival was drawing near, ordered the making of special cakes. Backed into each moon cake was a message with the outline of the attack. On the night of the Moon Festival, the rebels successfully attached and overthrew the government. Today, moon cakes are eaten to commemorate this legend and was called the Moon Cake.

For generations, moon cakes have been made with sweet fillings of nuts, mashed red beans, lotus-seed paste or Chinese dates(枣子), wrapped in a pastry. Sometimes a cooked egg yolk can be found in the middle of the rich tasting dessert. People compare moon cakes to the plum pudding and fruit cakes which are served in the English holiday seasons.

Nowadays, there are hundreds varieties of moon cakes on sale a month before the arrival of Moon Festival.

In China, Mid-autumn Day is considered to be a symbol of family reunion. On this day, all the family members gather together at home to celebrate this special occasion. Last year, I could not celebrate the festival with my family because I was in university. However, this special day left a deep impression on me.

I still remember the atmosphere of that evening. All the students who could not go back home assembled in our classroom, having a party to celebrate this traditional festival. We tried our best to show our own enthusiasm. As an ethnic minority, I performed a peacock dance, which received warm applause. After the two-hour party, we went out to the playground and sat together to appreciate the moon because it is a tradition on Mid-autumn Day. All family members get together on New YearEve to have a big meal.At the same time， everyone celebrates to each other.At about 12 oclock，some parents and children light crackers.The whole sky is lighted brightly. The Dragon Boat Festival is one of three majorChineseholidays, along with the Spring and Moon Festivals. Of the three, it is possibly the oldest, dating back to the Warring States Period in 227 B.C. The festival commemorates Qu Yuan, a minister in the service of the Chu Emperor. Despairing over corruption at court, Qu threw himself into a river. Townspeople jumped into their boats and tried in vain to save him. Then, hoping to distract hungry fish from his body, the people scattered rice on the water.

Spring Festival

My best festival is Spring Festival. It is in Janurary or February. It is the most important festival for the Chinese people. On that day everybody dresses up. First they extend greetings to their parents. Then each child will get money as a New Year gift, wrapped up in red paper.

People in northern China will eat jiaozi, or dumplings, for breakfast, the shape of the dumpling is like gold ingot from ancient China. So people eat them and wish for money and treasure.Burning fireworks was once the most typical custom on the Spring Festival. I like spring festival very much. Its my favourite holiday.

I,antern Festival is one of the biggest holidays in China. Several days before Lantern Festival, people begin to make lanterns. Lanterns are made in the shape of different animals, vegetables, fruits and many, other things. While making

lanterns people usually write riddles on lanterns. On the eve of Lantern Festival, all the lanterns are hung up.

On Lantern Festival people go outside to have a look at the lanterns and guess the riddles on the lanterns. Perhaps you call see some wonderful folk performances,Dragon Dance and Yangko. Everything is very interesting and everyone is very happy. Our life is rich and varied.

吃月饼也是中秋节的一大习俗。相传元朝末年，朱元璋发动农民起义时，用月饼作为秘密传递通知的手段，约定八月十五日中秋节起义，并取得了很好的效果。后来人们以中秋节吃月饼来纪念起义军的胜利。现在，月饼已演变成合家团聚的象征。于是，吃过晚饭后，我们每人手里拿一块月饼，到楼下一边吃月饼，一边赏月。“月到中秋分外明”是的，今晚的月亮特别明亮。一轮金黄的圆月像一个银色的玉盘高高地挂在天空中，皎洁的月光，像水似地泻向大地，照亮了整个院子。天空中云很淡，风很轻，月光很美，这构成了一幅美丽的图画。

边吃边听他们聊着，我才慢慢明白过来：原来今天是十二月初八，传说佛祖释迦牟尼成佛前进山修行，十二月初八这天因饥饿劳累栽倒路旁，被一牧羊女发现，用大米粥救活，后来大彻大悟，得道成佛。腊八这一天有吃腊八粥的习俗，掺在白米中的五谷杂粮总计不下20种，吃了以后可以增福增寿，故又称“福寿粥”。

原来，这看似普通的一碗粥有这么深刻的意义，于是我赶快请妈妈传授做“福寿粥”的方法。妈妈告诉我，先准备好要用的材料：必不可少的是粥米，豆、枣三样，其他可根据自家人口味配比，如核桃、粟子，玉米、葡萄干等。玉米要提前泡3—4小时，其他材料可混合洗净，再将所有的材料一起放入锅内，加足量水，烧开小火熬成粥即可。喜欢甜的就放些冰糖一起熬，用紫砂煲，三小时就能喝上粥了……

在我们这里，腊八粥熬好后，先要敬神祭祖，再赠送亲友，一定要在中午之前送出去，最后才是全家人食用。吃剩的腊八粥，保存着吃了几天还有剩下，却是好兆头，取其“年年有余”的意思。

腊八节喝腊八粥真有趣。这象征着多福多寿的腊八粥，大家可别忘了十二月初八喝一大碗啊!

中秋的夜，将幽暗的曲调献给敦厚的大地。天，深蓝的带上一丝懒惰的灰黑，让密布的星辰随之而颤动。一方四角天空，一块能遮住脸颊光辉的月饼，恰巧容下了少年那颗憧憬而又懵懵懂懂的心。

这，已是龆年古事。回首来，光阴荏苒，时间，不过弹指挥手间的霎那。

看着冰轮遥挂在墨色的天空，孩提时代的剪影渐渐被今夜的中秋佳节刻画的愈加清晰。脑海中竟涌现出另一轮明月，那段已经被深深沉淀的岁月。

儿时的天，是一眼望不到的幽邃与明澈，星星俏皮地眨着眼，仿佛每一颗都透露着如阿波罗一般渊深的智慧。那时，天是无尽宇宙的全部，也是无尽期盼的少年的心。

在那时看着幽夜空明，品着酥香的月饼，眼中流溢出对天空月的陶醉，对星辰漫天的热爱。而如今，月还是月，天，还是那片天。只不过，岁月的雾霾遮掩住了原来那片干净的天空，看不到了繁密的的星辰，仅仅只留下茕然一身的月影、稀落的孤星。我不禁自问：那片原本的夜空到底是谁偷去了呢?

天将今夜月，一遍洗寰瀛。这是唐朝刘禹锡作的一首《八月十五夜玩月》。但现在似乎已经体会不到那种意境了。遥看天空！你会发现只剩孑然。

或许，时代变迁，科技高速发展的的代价便是如此吧！

秋月凄凄，那光辉看得人煞是心疼。最终云雾还是遮住了它，那最后的芒线像一个身陷绝境的无助少女一般……

低头沉吟，我自问：这还是原来的中秋节吗？
