Before I came here, I can never imagine that I can learn so much knowledge

about other countries, which cant be got from my books in school. Three months

ago, I took my first class. Unfortunately, I felt so embarrassed, because I even

cant speak any words, though I know I really love English.

After that, I took some of my tutors advice and previewed the lesson that

I’ll learn. What’s more, in every class, I JUST try my best to say as much as

文明就是《老人与海》中的小饭店老板让孩子为老人送去免费饭菜还不忘用餐巾纸包好刀叉而不是吆喝一声“喂过来吃”。文明就是诺贝尔委员会主动颁发奖章奖金而不是居高临下地要求全世界相关人员首先提交个人申请。

文明就是看到凌晨四点的海棠花未眠认真欣赏(川端康成)而不是折之撅之独享之然后再要求他人环保有爱心。文明就是将心比心己所不欲勿施于人而不是装高雅高贵装优雅优秀装文雅文化装A装B装X之余还自认为善良美好反把自己感动得无以复加。

如果你也定位为文明人，文明是追求美好生活的高度，更是丈量自身行为的尺度。被带上断头台的玛丽·安托瓦内特(路易十六的王后)，不小心踩了行刑者的脚，她马上脱口而出“对不起，我不是故意的”。这个细节让人更加明了何谓文明、何谓礼仪、何谓修养、何谓美德。姑且不论法国大革命的对与错、罪与罚，但王后心有他人的良好习惯让我们依稀回忆起久违的贵族精神、乡绅风度。

一群心口不一、知行不一、里外不一者，创造不了文明也承担不了文明。不是你有点文化就是文明人。在那个非常时期，监视者、告密者、揭发者、互斗者、阴谋阳谋者，没有几个是文盲，但没有几个能称得上文明人。倒是胡适先生能担当起“文明”二字：那清贵的脸庞、明澈的笑容、儒雅的气质，从青年到晚年都没有过变化。他是那个时代的“先生”代表，也是中华民族的后世标杆。野蛮荒芜之后、百废待兴之时，中国人蓦然回首，胡适仍在灯火阑珊处笑意温和。

文明是修养，可惜的是：自视甚高者不屑修，自视低贱者不愿修，内心分裂者不以众人修其身而以圣贤修于人。自己言尧舜、行桀纣却引导、鼓励、责令他人只行尧舜且不得言桀纣。他们忘记了“俯不怍于人、行不惭于影、思不愧于往”也是一种宁静或幸福。
