There is no doubt that we all want to be successful. But what’s the main

concern of the way to success? From Abraham Lincoln’s famous remark, “Give me

six hours to chop down a tree, and I will spend the first four sharpening the

axe”, I learn that if we want to achieve success, we must make full preparation

for it.

Only if we are well prepared, can we catch the opportunity which occurs

once in a while. In our daily life, we have to expand our horizon and lay a

solid foundation for success. It will be a long way to be successful thus we

have to accumulate our knowledge day by day. And we can’t achieve success in one

What’s more, success goes along with opportunities. We should develop the

ability to solve problems in different and efficient ways therefore we can make

our way to success more easily.

When someone disagrees with you or offends you, don’t lose your temper. Why? Because it is of no use to do so. You ought to (should) be patient and keep calm lest you should quarrel with him. You must know that patience is not cowardice, but a virtue. I hope that everybody practices it.

In addition, patience will also bring us success. When you meet with difficulties in your work, it is no use losing heart. You must keep on fighting until (till) the final victory belongs to you.

When it comes to success, different people have different opinions about

what makes it come true. Some people regard hard-working as an essential quality

to success while others believe being clever would lead to success. From my

point of view, I think perseverance and hard-working are indispensable for those

who want to make an achievement.

Firstly, perseverance let people step closely towards success. Most people

want to make a big difference to prove their value. People who set their goal

and keep moving would make their dream come true. However, there are some people

who set their goal but they stop at the difficulty would fail in the end. I

think the difference between success and failure is perseverance. If we have

perseverance, even if we are not clever, we will make a great difference, but if

we not, we are doomed to lose. As we all know, Edison is a great inventor in the

world. However, before he invented the bulb, he kept trying for tens of

thousands of times to find a suitable wire. Let us imagine, if he gave up at the

999th, then how he couldn’t become so successful. So, I strongly believe that

perseverance produces success.

Secondly, there is also a kind of people who are born with cleverness, I

think they are lucky. Nevertheless, if they don’t make a hard work on their way

to their goal, they, absolutely, will become loser. Whether we are gifted for

intelligent, we must be hard-working so as to success. I regard hard-working as

an efficient approach to be successful because I believe ‘pains and gains’. As

for those who do not make great efforts on work, failure follows. In old times,

there is a clever boy who can make excellent poem when he can talk. When his

father found the little child’s cleverness, he just let the child make poems to

show around while never let the boy learned anything. When the boy grew up,

people forgot him because he lost the ability to compose poems and became

ordinary as others. From this matter, we can see that only by hard-working can

we get knowledge and make a good future.

Anyway, I think perseverance and hard-working are both important in our way

to success for they enhance us and produce success.

I am afraid that you will think me unpardonably negligent in not having

answered your letter dated 7, December sooner, but when I have told you the

reason, I trust you will be convinced that the neglect was excusable. When your

letter arrived, I was just in Hong Kong. As my family could not forward it to me

during my absence, it has been, therefore, lying on my desk until the moment

when I took it up. Now the first thing I have to hasten to do is to write to you

作为一名正处于青春期的中学生，我时常在想的我的青春应该是怎样的，是要刻骨铭心，还是要平淡无奇?

回顾我走过的青春历程，最让我记忆犹新的还那次刚上初一时参加的运动会。谁都没有想到一个身弱小，看起来文静腼腆的女生竟然在不犹豫地报女子1500米长跑比赛。没错，我就是那个女生。那时，我想努力奋斗赢得更多人的认可，更想为自己平淡无奇的人生贴上一个惹人注目的好”标签。

比赛开始的时候，我站在雪白的起跑线上，心里也如同脚底的颜色一般干净，空空如也。枪声响起的那刻，我知道我的青春开始了，我更知道，我不能输在起跑线上。就算弄得“头破血流”，遍体鳞伤，我也让每一个人都知道，起码我奋斗过!

那次的比赛我得了整个年级组的第一。但谁也不知道的是，至今我膝盖上的那决“美丽”的伤疤就是在那次的比赛中留下的，那是我永久的记忆，是青春留下的痕迹。

那次之后，大大小小的运动会上都有我奋力奔跑的身影。带着这些我渡过了初二生活，再到了我们现在的初三，我们苦，。我们没有资格说这是人间地狱，因为我们还没有真正经历过高中生活，为了考上理想的高中，再苦再累我们也要忍着，中考考验我们的不仅仅是知识，更是考验我们有没有坚强的意志和足够的勇气坚持下来。

再过一个月，现在并肩作战的“兄弟姐妹们”就会有不同的人生，会踏上不同的道路，各自开启一段不同的征程。我们都在奋斗，都在不断成长，不论结果如何，我们都会骄傲地说一句：起码我奋斗过，青春无悔!

My birthday

Today is my birthday, so some of my classmates sent me presents.Mother prepared a tea party for me.I invited all of them to come and take part in it.The tea party began at half past six.There were cold drinks and refreshments.We ate,talked and laughed.We felt that we were the happiest men in the world.Time passed quickly.

In a twinkling,the clock on the wall struck nine.We could not but say"Good-bye" to one another.

军人，铁一般的意志，铁一般的纪律，像一块块钢铁，饱经磨难也不会粉碎。这学期我十分荣幸地参加了学校组织的一次军训。

来到操场，只见军官教练们一个个如松树般站立在操场上纹丝不动，又好像一座座栩栩如生的大理石雕像。当我们走到教官面前时，教官才开始掷地有声地发话：“请你们排成四路纵队，首先我们先来学学怎么站。”我们听了，“扑哧”一声笑了，但我看到军官一脸严肃的神情，立即把“站谁不会啊，这还要学?”这一句话咽了回去。

还别说，这站军姿可真够难的。昂首挺胸，两肩微向后张，手臂自然向下垂放，大拇指靠在食指第二个关节上，这么多个动作要领，我还一时有点记不清呢!经过半个多小时的苦练，我们终于学会了站立军姿。

训练的难度在逐渐提高，下一个动作是向右看齐和齐步走，其中齐步走最难。我们走得歪歪扭扭，参差不齐，如同一条毛毛虫在地上扭动着。这时候，教官脸像脱了水的柠檬，眉毛皱成倒八字，严厉斥责道：“难道你们是毛毛虫吗?走路就应该有走路的样子，应该要横排竖排都对齐，这样才能体现出你们的精气神。我再教你们个技巧，走路时眼睛多瞟一瞟你们的排头，多低头看一看你与他们脚步齐不齐。”我听着教官的建议，走路时眼睛时不时瞟一瞟我们的排头兵许润阳，过一会儿就要看看自己的脚与别人走得齐不齐

经过一天的漫长训练，我们一个个已累得腰酸背疼，但我收获了很多，不仅能像军人一样英姿飒爽地走路、站立;还学会了百分百服从命令、学会了团结合作、学会了坚持与忍耐。

“稍息!立正!抬头挺胸!”军训第一天就在教官嘹亮的发号声中开始了。

军训最基本的就是站军姿，令人最头疼的恐怕也属于站军姿了，双脚成站开，双手紧贴裤缝，昂头挺胸，双眼看向上前方。刚站完这个姿势，心中还在暗喜：原来站军姿这么简单，这样站一天都不成问题。看着前面的墙，大家都站在哪儿一动也不动。“过去多长时间了呢?”我在心里暗暗地想。开始有点站不住了，眼睛往左一瞥，看了一下浦项的钟，才过去十几分钟啊，我怎么觉得像几个世纪都过去了?不禁默默抱怨起来。这时候有几个人站不住了，像个拨浪鼓一样开始摇晃身子，我正准备舒展一下手臂，教官宏亮的声音就把我给震住了，“我准你们动了吗?要打报告!”“报告。”像蚊子叫大小的声音从身后传来，“听不见，大声点!”教官又讲了一遍。一个上午的站军姿，我连那堵墙上有几条缝都能一一点清。

8月10日

今天军训第一天。

过得十分糟糕，以下是对于今天的分析：

早：心情一般，看着大家自我介绍，看着陌生的脸，我很好奇会发生什么，也很期待和紧张。

中：太阳更大了，突然想到考八中的同学也许正在考试，心想军训结束后要好好吓吓他们……可又想起上十二中和八一的同学已经军训完。我真的好想家，想念电脑同志，想念三国杀、飞飞、武林外传……胃口变得很差，什么都不想吃……

晚：心情坏极了，想起了初中时代的回忆。真的恨不得回到过去。如果大家还在一起，多幸福!看着我们班同学都围成一圈一圈的说话，而别的班都在集体搞活动，我心里忽然凉了。我不仅好担心自己未来的高中生活。会想曾经的9年一样开心、难忘么?但愿吧。心中的回忆被勾起，心情坏极了!!!哇啊啊啊……

按照规定,新生要接受为期3天的军训.可是我最怕的就是军训了.说起来还真不好意思,初一军训的时候,我扮拉肚子逃过了。可现在没办法,了，只好硬着头皮上了了！

第一天，我们主要训练的是立正，稍息，跨立和原地踏步。别小看了这几个简单的动作，做起来还真不简单呢！就拿立正来说吧。别看平时站着没什么感觉，真要你循规蹈矩的站着，还不许动一下，这也许就有点难了。教官要求我们站5分钟，可是到了1分多钟的时候，我已经有些支持不住了，豆大的汗珠布满了额头。终于熬到了5分钟，整个人都好像散了。真不敢想象军人们在烈日下是怎么支持住的。

第二天，天气稍微阴了一点，军训也没有那么辛苦了。今天训练的是走和跑。这么多训练项目中，走，应该是练得最辛苦的啦！每个人的脚步都不一样，根本走不成一条直线。

最后一天,因为下雨,我们便在室内官看教官们表演。

这一看，我无语了。他们的动作都是那么的整齐，丝毫看不出有什么差异–，立正，稍息，跨立，走，跑……这些在我们眼中困难的动作,在他们做来都是那么的整齐!我清楚的知道,这些整齐动作的背后都隐藏着许多含水,艰辛,甚至是血泪……

军训给我的感受是多种多样的，有艰辛的汗水，也有充实的收获。但唯一不变的，是我对军人所产生的敬佩之情……

今天是军训的第二天。

大家都拖着昨天的疲惫来到今天的训练课堂。经过昨天的训练，我们拣到了个大便宜，教官是所有的军官当中最温柔，最好说话的一个，当然我也很喜欢这个教官。我很期待着今天教官的发号施令跟昨天一样，可以让我们多休息一会儿。

教官今天比较严肃，眼睛里含着一种无奈。他说因为昨天对我们管的太松，而且练的也不好，总教官让教官对我们狠一点儿。没办法，我也知道，教官就在我们眼前被上司指着骂。虽然昨天只是开始，可教官就被骂了5次，他对我们说以前一个月最多只被批评过2次。我倒是觉得像练这种东西，不能图太快，关键就是我们想不想练的问题，大家一定都抱着“烦死了”的心情，谁还会练的好呢?解决这个问题，只有对我们施加压力——练好了就休息，练不好，继续练。教官很心疼我们，他也做过学生，知道我们也是很辛苦的，但是领导命令不能违啊!他也是没办法改变局面。我是个很讲情义的人。我喜欢教官。第一因为他性格好，第二因为他长的像我的哥哥。虽然第二个原因比较私人化，但不管怎样我一定会挺教官到底的，这么好的教官上哪找啊!

To be honest, Im honored to make friends with you. I still remember the

days when we were together. As far as I know, you are the kindest person in the

world. Once we were together, you always treated me as if I were your dear

Though my daily life is extremely monotonous, I try hard to adapt myself to

it. Why? Because I intend to be a good student. I wish to render service to my

country.I get up at six o’clock every day. After I wash my face and brush my

teeth, I begin to review my lessons. I go to school at seven o’clock.After

school is over, I return home. We usually have supper at seven o’clock.Then I

begin to do my homework. I want to finish it before I go to bed.

军训之前，我总以为军训是一种身体上的折磨，事实上，我错了，军训是一种精神上的磨练。是军训，让我在人生的路途上迈出了一大步。

在最后的几天里，支撑我的不是体力，而是意志力，无论哪一个教官，无论他是否教过我们、是否罚过我们，他们永远都是我最敬佩的人，我从他们身上学到了坚强与毅力。

it. These yellow bikes can be found everywhere, so the people who are in a hurry

can use it and then reached the destination in time. Especially for the

visitors, they can ride these bikes and then have a look at the scenery around.

It can saves them a lot of money and the most important thing is the convenience

it brings. These bikes can be placed any place, even the walking areas. I like

ofo so much. It makes me feel green, because it won’t produce bad air to pollute

这天第一次参加十三中学的军训。下午两点半，我们准时的排着整齐的队伍来到操场，在操场中间笔直的站着一位空军，他就是我们的教官。

我们站成四排，首先教了我们站军姿，“上身挺直，两腿绷直，身体向前倾斜，眼睛看着前方，肩要平”耳边又传来教官的命令，我一遍又一遍的按照教官的命令做好，但是老是站不直，东倒西歪的。好了，能够站住了，军姿也不是多难啊，多简单啊。就在我暗暗自喜时，一分钟过去了，我的腿开始有点酸痛，二分钟过去了，挺直的肩膀也酸起来，这是已经有人请示休息了，红彤彤的太阳爬上了天空，每个人的脸上都渗出了晶莹的汗珠，明亮的太阳晒的我都快睁不开眼了，只有一滴滴汗水再往下流，5分钟了，我快站不住了，双手已经快不听指挥了再也不能乖乖的放到两腿边了，7分钟了，已经有三四个人坚持不住了，我心里默默祈求快点结束吧，我可不能坚持不住去休息，那样我就是一个怕困难的人了。10分钟了“休息”我最后坚持了下来。真实肩酸腿又痛啊。

透过了这次站军姿使我明白了一个道理：必须做一个坚持不懈不怕困难的人，只有那样才能够成为"成功者”。俗话说困难像弹簧，你强它就弱，你弱他就强。再想想那些教官们，我们累难道他们就不累吗?他也要在烈日炎炎下大声指挥着。他们是军队出来的，我们才站10分钟军姿就累得要命了，他们的训练项目可要比我们多得多得多，他们不依然坚持下来了吗?而在那么多磨练中脱颖而出的就是那些坚持下来又认真的人啊，我必须做一个坚持不懈不怕困难的人，这样就已经迈出成功的第一步，相信我的明天会更加完美更加辉煌。

I met a girl called Sue on the Intemet.We are of the same age.And we talked

happily with each other. So we decided to write to each other daily, of course

through e-mail.We can write down what we feel and what we think and then forward

to each other.We also try to write in English. She once lived in the United

States with her parents, so she can speak native English.In this way, we are

getting closer and closer. And furthermore both of our English has improved

I have a great time during the winter holiday, because I enjoy myself as

well as focus on my study. As it’s known to all, the Spring Festival is the most

important in winter holiday that would occupy much time to celebrate it.

Therefore, I finished my homework first, so that it won’t bother my enjoyment

during the festival. I finished my home work in one week. And I went shopping

with my parents. We bought a lot of things, especially snacks and fruits. Then,

it was the Spring Festival. We had a big dinner on the New Year’s Eve. My

parents prepared the big dinner and I could only act as assistant. The dinner

was so delicious that I ate so full. In the next several days, my parents and I

visited our relatives and friends or they visited us. Sometimes, we went out for
