The Great Wall has a history of over twenty centuries.The first part of it was built during the Spring and Autumn Period. It was very difficult to build such a wall in the ancient days without any modern machines. All the work was done by hand. Thousands of men died and were buried under the wall they built. The Great Wall was made not only of stone and earth, but of the flesh and blood of millions of men.

Today the Great Wall has become a place of interest not only to the Chinese but to people from all over the world.Many of them have come to know the famous Chinese saying: "He who does not reach the Great Wall is not a true man."

柳亚子（1887-1958）江苏吴江人，现代著名诗人。工于旧诗，尤长于七言，诗词具有爱国精神，著有《磨剑室诗集、词集、文集》。

胡适（1891-1962）安徽绩溪人，现代文学家、学者。首先在《新青年》杂志上发表《文学改良刍议》，提倡白话，揭开了“五四”文学革命运动的序幕；发表新诗集《尝试集》。对“五四”运动有一定贡献。主要作品有《胡适文存》等。

郭沫若（1892-1978）我国现代杰出作家、诗人、历史学家、剧作家、考古学家、古文字学家、社会活动家。原名郭开贞，笔名沫若，一署郭鼎堂。四川乐山人，1918年开始新诗创作。1921年与郁达夫、成仿吾等组织“创造社“，并出版了第一本诗集《女神》。抗日战争时期，创作了《屈原》《虎符》《棠棣之花》等历史剧。解放后，发表了《蔡文姬》等戏剧，著有《奴隶制时代》等书，他是我国新诗的奠基人，是继鲁迅之后革命文化界公认的领袖。

叶圣陶（1894-1988）我国现代著名作家、教育家、出版家、社会活动家，中央文史研究馆馆长。原名叶绍钧，江苏苏州人。他编过《小说月报》和《中学生》等刊物，1921年，他与沈雁冰、郑振铎等组织“文学研究会”，其主要作品有长篇小说《倪焕之》，这是中国现代文学史上最早出版的长篇小说之一。童话集有《稻草人》《古代英雄的石像》，散文集有《小记十篇》。

茅盾（1896-1981）现代著名小说家、文学家、社会活动家。原名沈德鸿，字雁冰。浙江桐乡人。1921年与郑振铎、王统照等发起成立“文学研究会”，主编《小说月报》。1927-1928年第一次用“茅盾”作笔名发表了中篇小说《幻灭》（《幻灭》《动摇》《追求》是茅盾的《蚀》三部曲）。1932年完成了他的代表作，长篇小说《子夜》（吴荪甫、赵伯韬）；此外发表了《林家铺子》《春蚕》（《春蚕》《秋收》《残冬》是茅盾的《农村三部曲》）等名著。1940年到延安讲学，写了《见闻杂记》。1941年，创作长篇小说《霜叶红于二月花》，剧本《清明前后》等。茅盾是“五四”新文化运动的先驱者之一，是我国革命文艺奠基人之一。

郁达夫（1896-1945）现代小说家、散文家。浙江富阳人。“创造社”主要成员之一，主编《创造月刊》。1921年完成了其处女作：短篇小说《沉沦》。1923年写了小说《春风沉醉的晚上》和《薄奠》，这是他创作发展的高峰。1937年以后，积极参加抗日活动。1945年9月被日本宪兵队杀害。

田汉（1898-1968）字寿昌，湖南长沙人。我国革命戏剧奠基人和戏剧改革运动的先驱者，我国早期革命音乐、电影、戏剧界的组织者和领导者。他的新歌剧《扬子江的暴风雨》，为革命歌剧的发展起了奠基作用，他还同音乐家聂耳、冼星海、贺绿汀合作，创作了《毕业歌》《义勇军进行曲》等优秀歌曲，其中《义勇军进行曲》被确定为新中国的国歌。解放后，创作了话剧《关汉卿》《文成公主》等。

朱自清（1898-1948）现代散文家、诗人。字佩弦，江苏苏扬州人。祖籍浙江绍兴，文学研究会成员。著有诗文集《踪迹》、散文集《背影》《欧游杂记》。他的优秀散文《春》《背影》《荷塘月色》《绿》都选入中学教材。

郑振铎（1898-1958）现代作家、文学史家。笔名西谛。福建长乐人。1921年与茅盾、王统照发起成立我国第一个文学社团“文学研究会”。先后主编《小说月报》《文学周刊》和《世界文库》。1937年写成长诗《泸沟桥》。短篇小说集有《取火者的逮捕》。文学研究著作有《文学大纲》《中国俗文学史》《欧行日记》等。

瞿秋白（1899-1935）现代作家、政治活动家、文艺理论家。原名爽，又名霜，出身于江苏省常州一个破落的书香人家，是中国共产党早期领导人之一。1935年5月18日英勇就义，作品有《瞿秋白文集》。

闻一多（1899-1946）现代诗人、学者、民主战士。本名家骅，湖北浠水人，早年参加“新月社”，著有诗集《红烛》《死水》。1946年7月15日在昆明被guo民党特务杀害。全部著作由朱自清编成《闻一多全集》。

老舍（1899-1966）现代小说家，戏剧家。原名舒庆春，字舍予，北京人。合作有解放前创作的长篇小说《骆驼祥子》《四世同堂》，建国后创作的话剧《龙须沟》《春华秋实》《茶馆》等。因话剧《龙须沟》的创作1950年被誉为“人民艺术家”。

方志敏（1900-1935）现代革命家，江西省弋阳人。青年时代写过《呕血》《哭声》《我的心》等。在狱中写出著名散文《可爱的中国》《清贫》和《狱中纪实》，是我国革命文学中的珍品。

冰心（1900-1999）现代女作家，儿童文学家，原名谢婉莹。福建福州人，早在“五四”时期她就开始文学创作活动，加入“文学研究会”。小说有《两个家庭》《斯人独憔悴》；诗集有《繁星》《春水》；儿童作品有《寄小读者》。解放后，她又写了《再寄小读者》和《归国以后》《樱花赞》《我们把春天吵醒了》等散文集。

夏衍（1900-1995）现代剧作家，浙江杭州人。原名沈端先。1930年他翻译高尔基的长篇小说《母亲》，1936年写成报告文学《包身工》和著名剧本《秋瑾传》《上海屋檐下》。抗战后写出《愁城记》《法西斯细菌》《芳草天涯》等剧本。建国后，改编了《祝福》《林家铺子》《我的一家》等剧本。

柔石（1902-1931）现代小说家，浙江宁海人。“左联”五烈士之一，原名赵平复，主要作品有小说《二月》（肖涧秋、陶岚）《为奴隶的母亲》《希望》《旧时代之死》，长诗《血在沸》，散文《一个伟大的印象》等。

胡也频（1093-1931）现代作家，福建福州人。“左联”五烈士之一。作品有中篇小说《一幕悲剧的写实》，长篇小说《到莫斯科去》和《光明在我们的前面》。

巴金（1904-）现代著名作家。原名李芾甘，笔名巴金，四川成都人，1928年，写成他的第一部长篇小说《灭亡》。后来又写了《爱情三部曲》：《雾》《雨》《电》；《激流三部曲》：《家》《春》《秋》等小说，又发表中篇小说《寒夜》《憩园》等，1982年曾获“国际但丁文学奖”，巴金先后担任中国作家协会主席、上海市作家协会主席等职。

丁玲（1904-1986）现代女作家，原名蒋伟，又名蒋冰之，湖南临澧人。代表作《莎菲女士的日记》《太阳照在桑干河上》。1951年《太阳照在桑干河上》获斯大林文学奖二等奖。

臧克家（1905- ）现代诗人，山东诸城人。历任《诗刊》主编。他的第一本诗集是《烙印》，其主要作品有诗《老马》。讽刺诗集《宝贝儿》、小说集《挂红》、文艺论文集《在文艺学习的道路上》等。他的短诗《有的人》被广泛传诵。

赵树理（1906-1970）现代小说家和人民艺术家，山西沁水县人。代表作有长篇小说《李家庄的变迁》《三里湾》；中篇小说《李有才板话》；短篇小说《小二黑结婚》《登记》等。他的作品有浓厚的乡土气息，被誉为“山药蛋派”。

张天翼（1906- ）现代作家。原籍湖南湘乡，出生于南京。代表作为讽刺短篇小说《华威先生》，长篇小说有《鬼士日记》，短篇小说有《从空虚到充实》，儿童文学作品有《大林和小林》《宝葫芦的秘密》《大灰狼》等。

吴伯萧（1906-1982）现代散文家。原名熙成，山东莱芜人。其代表作有散文集《烟尘集》《出发集》《北极星》等。其中《歌声》《记一辆纺车》都是优秀散文。

冯铿（1907-1931）现代女作家。广东省潮州人。“左联”五烈士之一。她写有诗集《春雷》，短篇集《铁和火的新生》、中篇小说《最后的出路》等。

周立波（1908-1979）现代作家，原名周绍仪，湖南益阳人。其代表作有长篇小说《暴风骤雨》，曾荣获斯大林文学奖。解放后，他参加《解放了的中国》彩色影片摄制工作，再次荣获斯大林文学奖。另有长篇《铁水奔流》《山乡巨变》。他创作的短篇小说《湘江一夜》获1979年短篇小说一等奖。

殷夫（1909-1931）无产阶级早期优秀诗人，“左联”五烈士之一，广东省潮州人。原名徐祖华。诗作有《血字》《五一歌》《我们是年轻的布尔什维克》等。

艾青（1910-1996）现代诗人，原名蒋海澄，浙江金华人，出身于一个地方家庭。1932年，加入“中国左翼美术联盟”，同年被捕。1936年，出版了第一部诗集《大堰河》，其长诗《大堰河――我的保姆》是他的成名之作，抗日战争期间，写了长诗《向太阳》《火把》。解放后又写了《在浪尖上》《光明的赞歌》等。

姚雪垠（1910-1999）现代作家。河南邓县人。《李自成》是他的代表作，是“五四”以来第一部长篇小说历史小说。

曹禺（1910-1996）现代剧作家。湖北潜江人，原名万家宝。代表作有《雷雨》《日出》《北京人》等，建国后，又创作《明朗的天》《胆剑篇》《王昭君》和改编《家》等著名剧本。

何其芳（1912-1977）现代诗人、文学评论家，四川万县人。1935年毕业于北大哲学系。代表作有诗集《预言》，散文集《画梦录》，文艺论文集《关于现实主义》，小说戏剧集《刻意集》。著名诗作有《生活是多么广阔》《我为少男少女歌唱》等。

杨朔（1913-1968）现代小说家、散文家，山东蓬莱人。他的第一部长篇小说是反映抗美援朝的《三千时江山》，还有散文集《海市》，长篇小说《洗兵马》等。他的散文《荔枝蜜》《茶花赋》《海市》《香山红叶》等都是优秀散文佳作。

孙犁（1913- ）现代作家。原名孙树勋，河北省平安县人。其代表作有长篇小说《风云初记》、中篇小说《铁木前传》、短篇小说《荷花淀》；小说散文结集《白洋淀纪事》。他的小说写景的抒情熔于一炉，充满诗情画意，有“诗体小说”之称。

杨沫（1914-1995）现代女作家。1914年生于北京，原籍湖南省湘阴县。1937年发表《浮尸》《怒涛》等几篇揭露日寇侵华罪行的短篇小说，1950年出版描写抗日的中篇《苇塘纪事》。1958年出版的优秀长篇小说《青春之歌》是她的代表作，1972年起，写成长篇小说《东方欲晓》，1978年还出版了短篇小说选《红红的山丹花》。

周而复（1914- ）1914年生于南京，祖籍安徽旌德县。他的代表作：报告文学《诺尔曼白求恩片断》、长篇小说《白求恩大夫》和《上海的早晨》。

梁斌（1914- ）现代作家，原名梁维周，河北省高蠡县人。1927年参加革命，1934年以高蠡bao动为题材写成了第一个短篇小说《夜之交流》。1958年出版了长篇小说《红旗谱》第一部，1963年出版了《播火记》（《红旗谱》第二部）

徐迟（1914-1996）现代诗人、报告文学作家。原名徐高寿；浙江省吴兴人。他前期作品有诗集《二十岁的人》，散文集《美文集》；解放后，又写了特写集《我们这时代的人》《庆功宴》。1978年写的报告文学集《哥德巴赫猜想》是献给全国科学大会的厚礼。

柳青（1916-1978）现代小说家。原名刘蕴华，陕西吴堡人。代表作是1959年发表的反映中国农村社会主义革命的长篇小说《创业史》《梁生宝》。此外《种谷记》《铜墙铁壁》等长篇小说也较有名。

刘白羽（1916- ）现代作家，北京人。代表作有短篇小说《政治委员》，中篇小说《火光在前》，特写集《早晨的太阳》。

田间（1916- ）现代诗人，安徽无国人，原名童天鉴。1934年参加“左联”，1935年出版《未明集》《中国牧歌》等诗集。抗日战争期间，写出《给战斗者》等诗篇，被誉为“时代的鼓手”，建国后出版《我的短诗》《天安门赞歌》等十几部诗集。

郭小川（1919-1976）现代诗人。河北丰宁县人。抗战时期他开始写诗，主要作品有诗集《平原老人》《甘蔗林――青纱帐》《投入火热的斗争》以及长诗《将军三部曲》等，著有《郭小川诗选》。

秦牧（1919-1992）现代散文家，原名林觉夫，祖籍广东澄海，生于香港。其代表作有散文集《长河浪花集》、小品文《贝壳集》，童话集《蜜蜂和地球》，以散文体裁写成了文艺论文集《艺海拾贝》。散文集《长街灯语》也较有名。

魏巍（1920- ）现代作家，原名鸿杰，笔名红杨树，河南郑州人。其代表作是文艺通讯《谁是最可爱的人》。此外，还有诗集《黎明风暴》，文艺随笔《路标》。他的长篇小说《东方》获首届茅盾文学奖。

杜鹏程（1921- ）现代作家。陕西省韩城县人。他在长、中、短篇小说创作中都获得显著的成就。1954年出版的长篇小说《保卫延安》是我国第一部大规模正面描写解放战争的优秀长篇，成功地塑造了彭德怀同志感人的形象。此外还有中篇小说《在和平的日子里》、短篇小说《工地之夜》《夜走灵官峡》《第一天》《延安人》等作品。

李季（1922-1980）现代诗人，原名李振鹏，河南唐县人，代表作有长篇叙事诗《杨高传》。1945年以陕北民歌“信天游”的形式写出了长篇叙事诗《王贵与李香香》。

马烽（1922- ）现代作家，山西孝义县人。其主要作品有《三年早知道》《我的第一个上级》，电影剧本《我们村里的年轻人》，长篇小说《刘胡兰传》《吕梁英雄传》《与西戎合作》等。

曲波（1923- ）现代作家。山东蓬莱人。1957年出版了其代表作长篇小说《林海雪原》。其后又创作长篇小说《山呼海啸》等。

贺敬之（1924- ）现作诗人、剧作家，山东峄县人。1942年，他和丁毅执笔集体创作的我国每一部新歌剧《白毛女》获1951年斯大林文学奖金。建国后，写了《回延安》《放声歌唱》《西去列车的窗口》等有名的诗篇。

袁鹰 现代散文家，原名田仲洛，江苏淮安人。代表作有散文集《风帆》《井冈散记》。

茹志鹃（1925- ）现代女作家，曾用笔名阿如、初旭，祖籍浙江省杭州市，生于上海。其代表作有短篇小说《百合花》《静静的产院》《剪辑错了的故事》，其中《剪辑错了的故事》荣获1979年全国优秀短篇小说创作奖。

李准（1928-2000）现代作家，河南省孟津县人。其代表作有短篇小说《不能走那条路》《李双双小传》；由他改编的电影剧本有《高山下的花环》《牧马人》《老兵新传》等。其中《老兵新传》摄成电影后，曾荣获1959年莫斯科国际电影节银质奖。他的长篇小说有《黄河东流去》。

王愿坚（1929- ）现代作家。以善于描写革命历史题材著称，山东诸城人。他的第一个短篇小说是《党费》。其代表作还有短篇小说《七根火柴》《普通劳动者》。1974年与陆柱国合作编写电影剧本《闪闪的红星》，深受读者欢迎。

唐弢（1913-1992）现代著名作家、鲁迅研究家。原名唐端毅，浙江镇海人。1933年起，在鲁迅影响下，从事杂文写作，1938年，参加了《鲁迅全集》校编工作。代表作有《唐弢杂文选》，散文诗集《落帆集》，论文集《向鲁迅学习》。

碧野（1916- ）现代著名作家，原名黄潮洋，广东省大埔县人。1935年加入北平作家协会，抗战时期参加过游击队，并开始创作。代表作有长篇小说《阳光灿烂照天》，散文集《月亮湖》。

峻青（1922- ）现代作家，原名孙俊卿，山东海阳县人。代表作有短篇小说集《黎明的河边》《胶东纪事》等。散文集《秋色赋》，长篇小说《海啸》，短篇小说《党员登记表》《老水牛爷爷》等。

翦伯赞（1898-1968）我国著名的历史学家，维吾尔族，湖南省桃源县人。代表作有游记体散文《内蒙访古》。

刘绍棠（1936-1997）当代作家，北京通县人。十三岁就开始创作，十七岁就发表了第一本短篇小说《青枝绿叶》，1979年以后写的中篇小说《蒲柳人家》，短篇小说《峨眉》分别获得全国中篇小说奖和短篇小说奖。

王蒙（1934- ）当代作家，北京人。其处女作是长篇小说《青春万岁》。他的短篇小说《组织部来了个年轻人》影响很大，从1976-1981年发表三十多篇作品。其中《最宝贵的》《悠悠寸草心》《春之声》分获1978、1979、1980年全国优秀短篇小说奖。中篇小说《蝴蝶》获全国优秀中篇小说奖。

蒋子龙（1941- ）当代作家，河北沧县人。其成名作是《机电局长的一天》。短篇小说《乔厂长上任记》荣获1979年全国优秀短篇小说一等奖，《开拓者》荣获全国优秀小说奖。

刘心武（1942- ）当代作家，四川成都人。其短篇小说《班主任》荣获1978年全国短篇小说一等奖，长篇小说《钟鼓楼》荣获第二届茅盾文学奖。

张洁（1938- ）当代女作家。其处女作《从森林里来的孩子》和后来写的《谁生活得更美丽》分别获1978、1979年全国优秀短篇小说奖。长篇小说《沉重的翅膀》荣获第二届茅盾文学奖。

高晓声（1928- ）当代作家，江苏武进县人。代表作《李顺大造屋》《陈奂生上城》分别获1979、1980年全国优秀短篇小说奖。

李存葆 当代作家，山东五莲县人。其报告文学《将门虎子》荣获自卫还击战全军征文一等奖，中篇小说《高山下的花环》《山中，那十九座坟茔》都是优秀作品。

Going to high school is my first time to leave home. I have to live in school from Monday to Friday. I like to stay away from my parents for some time, because I can make my own choice and be free to go anywhere. My friends and I like to spend the weekend in the countryside that near the city we live. It is the short travel that I can not only appreciate the beautiful scenery, but also learn to be independent. The things that nature teaches me are a lot. I can see from the color of the cloud to predict the weather and the sound of of animals have different meanings. All of these are hard to know from the books. I have my own thinking from these trips, and the way to take care of myself helps me to grow up.

10月29日消息，五中全会：提高教育质量，推动义务教育均衡发展，普及高中阶段教育，逐步分类推进中等职业教育免除学杂费，率先从建档立卡的家庭经济困难学生实施普通高中免除学杂费，实现家庭经济困难学生资助全覆盖。

中国共产党第十八届中央委员会第五次全体会议，于2015年10月26日至29日在北京举行。全会听取和讨论了习近平受中央政治局委托作的工作报告，审议通过了《中共中央关于制定国民经济和社会发展第十三个五年规划的建议》。

国家发改委宏观经济研究院副院长吴晓华对此进行了专业分析和解读。

吴晓华表示，学区房问题主要是特大城市的问题，实际上教育的公平性在很多中小城市，包括一部分大城市，已经得到了很好的解决。学区房问题本质上是资源供给问题，是一个技术问题，它不是一个铁打的规定，不是不可改变的问题。

吴晓华认为，要通过制度手段、技术手段和政策引导，使优质教育资源，高中阶段的优质教育资源更均匀分布。目前，北京在做很好的探索，学区房的问题是一个短期的问题。>>2015年十八届五中全会公报(全文)

The Lunar New Year

The Lunar New Year occasion to the Chinese people. It lasts about the first four days of the year, during which people do not work except for the workers on duty. Students do not go to school, and shops are closed.

Several days before the new year, people begin to prepare. Farmers kill pigs, sheep, cocks and hens. City dwellers buy meat fish and vegetables. Houses are cleaned; couplets are posted on the doors. Colourful lanterns are hung at the gate.

On the eve of the new year, each family has its members gatherd together and eats a family reunion dinner. After the meal they watch TV until the clock strickes twelve. Then every family sets off long strings of small firecrackers and other fireworks to welcome the new year. On the first day of the new year, almost everyone is dressed in his or her best. Whenpeople meet on the way, they say to each other "Happy New Year". Friends and relatives pay new year calls and gives presents to each other. Children indulge themselves in games.

春节

农历新年对中国人来说是个很重要的节日。它大约要持续4天，在这期间，除了值班人员外，人们都放假了。工人不开工，学生上不学，商店关门。

新年前几天人们就开始准备。农民们宰杀猪、鸡、羊。城市居民买肉、鱼、蔬菜。人们打扫房子，贴对联，挂彩灯。

新年除夕，各家各户围坐在一起吃团圆饭。饭后，人们看电视，到了午夜12点，在这辞旧迎新的时刻，人们燃放各种烟花炮竹来庆祝。新年第一天，即正月初一，所有的人都穿着最漂亮的衣服，路上相遇，互相道“新年好”，亲戚朋友拜年互赠礼物，孩子们尽情地玩耍。
