He is right. We always have great plans and dreams in our minds… too ready to achieve something grand thatChanges the world or benefits all of mankind .For example; we hate pollution and have made up our minds to find new energy sources that keep the environment clean. The first day for me to come to the high school, my head-teacher told us the news that we needed to take the military train. We were all shocked, it was so hot outside, how terrible it was. 第一，作为一名大学生，毕业后想就业的话，首先，必须正确的认识自我，客观、全面、综合的评价自己，主动的去适应社会，正确对待社会上的竞争压力。在选择职业时，既要考虑个人需要，还要考虑社会需要、市场需要，不能只凭自己的主观判断和意愿。多从“我是谁”、“我想干什么，我会干什么”、“环境支持或允许我干什么”、“我的职业生涯规划是什么”方面去考虑。针对自己的实际情况，比如：过硬的专业知识和技能、特长、爱好等，给自己一个正确的评价。深入了解自我，清楚自己的优劣势，尽量发挥自己的优势，避开自己的不足，这样，才能成功。眼光过高，择业期望过高，反而会错失很多机会。

第二，要根据自己的专业、技能、用人单位的要求，确定自己的职业方向。在投简历之前，要先上网了解该公司的基本情况，是否真的有这家公司，认真收集、分析聘用信息，辨别信息的真伪，以免上当受骗。假如自己和用人单位彼此都很满意，应该做出理性的选择，及时签订协议。且要有主见，不要人云亦云，别人觉得这家公司不好或者很好，你也这样觉得，患得患失，心里一片茫然，从而错过机遇。

第三，就业过程是一个复杂的过程，往往会遇到这样或那样的困难，处处碰壁。这就要求我们有良好的心理承受能力和端正心态，勇敢地迎接未来的种种挑战。更为重要的是要接受并适应自己从“学生”向“社会人”的转变，了解校园与职场的不同。不迷恋大城市，大企业，只要有真才实学，脚踏实地，一样有一番新天地。

第五，自荐信的书写和简历的制作。自荐信要扬长避短，重点突出，简明扼要，用词准确，能够引起聘用方的注意。简历除了基本的内容外还要写的简洁精练，措辞得体，浓缩大学生活的精华。站在聘用方的角度制作简历，使他们看到自己的价值，了解自己能为他们做什么。简历的格式篇幅要恰当适宜，不能太长。再经过精心编排打印的简历一定会令聘用方眼前一亮。不过，最重要的是要本着诚实的态度去制作简历，不能弄虚作假。

第六，我们在工作时，要遵守岗位的职业道德，不要为了一点点利益就违反公司规定和职业道德。作为一个劳动者在自己的岗位上连必须遵守的职业道德都做不到，还谈什么做好工作呢。

On College Students Occupying Seats

In English, there is an expression “First Come, First Served” (FCFS). This stresses the need for orderliness, which also applies to college students searching for seats in the reading rooms of a library. However, in China, things are somehow complicated. Instead of occupying seats with their own persons, students tend to use books, backpacks or other personal objects to stand for their “legitimate” ownership of the seats.

To such extent, the emergence of such a practice, now almost ubiquitous on all campuses, is justified. The seats for students to conduct self-study are limited and university authorities should endeavor to increase such facilities to satisfy students needs. At least, students efforts to fight for seats indicate they are enthusiastic about their studies—their academic initiatives should be duly recognized and encouraged! However, using personal belongings to occupy seats may exacerbate the scarcity of facilities—some irresponsible students might never turn up, sometimes even for days. They waste the precious resources and damage the interests of other students who have real needs. Such behavior deserves unconditional criticism and condemnation.

Both university authorities and students should do their best to solve the problem. The authorities should create more reading rooms to satisfy students needs whereas students should not waste the already limited resources. In this way, an optimum allocation of resources can be realized and all students would enjoy their studies.

For our universitys arts festival, I think that the university should hold open competitions and auditions for anyone who wants to take part in the festivals exhibitions and performances. 要有科学的职业规划。根据社会需要和自身条件，及早做好自己的职业规划，增强就业和创业能力，对于大学生将来能否顺利就业非常重要。对很多毕业生而言，与其说是“就业困难”，不如说是“就业迷惘”，对自己的未来发展缺乏科学规划，这往往也成为他们面对就业压力时感到手足无措的一个重要原因。一次调查显示，62.2%的大学生对自己未来的发展和职业生涯没有规划，32.8%的不明确，只有4.9%的有明确的设计。俗话说，机会总是垂青于那些有准备的人。大学生将来要找到理想职业，首先要未雨绸缪，及早明确职业目标，提前做好职业规划，有针对性地进行知识储备和社会实践；同时，要通过科学的认知方法和手段，对自己的兴趣、气质、性格和能力等进行全面正确分析，认识自己的优势与不足，努力使自己的“长板”更长，把“短板”补长。此外，“有志者事竟成”，只要有恒心、有毅力，坚持不懈地沿着目标前进，就必然会获得成功。

要有良好的就业心态。就业本身就是一种竞争。由于大学毕业生年轻，往往有急于求成的心理。一旦在就业中遇到挫折，很容易意志消沉，一蹶不振。因此，保持良好的就业心态，对于大学毕业生顺利就业也很重要。面对严峻的就业形势，大学毕业生要充满自信，勇敢地去面对竞争，既不能妄自菲薄，缩手缩脚，不敢“推销”自己；也不能够狂妄自大，对单位挑三拣四，最终“高不成，低不就”。要清楚地认识到，求职遇到的困难、挫折、委屈是暂时的、在所难免的，一味的抱怨解决不了问题，关键是对待挫折要有充分的心理准备，坚信“天生我材必有用”，摆正位置，调整心态，变压力为动力，使自己能从容、冷静地面对就业这一人生重大课题，并作出正确、理智的选择。

此外，还要有创业的精神和准备。目前，发达国家大学毕业生创业率在20%至30%，而我国仅为1%至2%。勇于创业，既是就业的一条行之有效的方式，也是实现大学毕业生人生理想的一条捷径。要进一步完善鼓励大学毕业生创业的法律和政策，加强对大学毕业生的创业指导和技能培训，努力给大学毕业生创业提供更有利的条件。

有句话说得好：“理想的翅膀应插在现实的身上，离开了现实的躯体，理想只是一堆零乱的羽毛。”现在，越来越多的大学生认识到，“行行可建功，处处能立业，劳动最光荣”。面对激烈的就业竞争，只要我们大学毕业生能转换思维，改变观念，就业之路一定会越走越宽广，我们的理想也一定会飞得加高远！

It’s very hard for college graduates to find a job, of course harder to get an ideal job. In fact, many factors contribute to the unfavorable situation。

First, more and more students can go to college because of the being fast improved high education of China. As a result, there are more graduates every year. However, job vacancies don’t increase that fast. More people, less food, which is the exact description of the hard condition. Second, more and more people go on to pursue their master and doctor degree; more and more Chinese oversea students come back to China to hunt better working chances. It is sure that the competition is more and more fierce. Third, because of the fast development of science, technology, economy, society and the interchange of different nations, all units have higher requirement of their employees, for example, stronger ability and higher degree。

In addition to the factors above, there are still more which bring hardship for graduates to find jobs. Nevertheless, how to solve the problem is more important. It is a good idea for the graduates to learn more knowledge with a higher degree and to practice and improve their capability of dealing with all kinds of situation, organization, having good terms with others and cooperative spirit. Besides, the government should try to and encourage all units to create more job vacancies for the college graduates. Of course, the graduates should have a proper attitude towards various jobs, but not always pursue those with higher payment。

If I Rest, I Rust

The significant inscription found on an old key - "If I rest, I rust." - would be an excellent motto for those who are afflicted with slightest bit of idleness. Should Class Attendance be Required?

Nowadays required class attendance is very common at colleges and universities. Most people accept ti as a necessary policy t ensure the normal teaching order and create a good study atmosphere. Besieds, they think it is a good urge for those students who lack self-discipline.

However, still some others do not agree this argument. In their opinion, rigid attendance policies do not benefit students studies. A student may have to give up a lecture which he finds bital to his studies simply because he dare not run the risk of being penalized for his absence of his course. Besides, they say there is no proven correlation between attendance and performance.

As for me, I am in favor of the latter opinion. Required class attendance may secure one hundred percent attendance for a course, but it does not make much sense. A student may never be absent in a course, but who knows whether or not he is just sistting there daydreaming all the time. Therefore, a student should allowed to decide for himself whether an in-class wxperience is worthwhile.
