何为忠孝仁义？何为信礼智勇？现在只有在台北的大街看路牌才能见到它们了。"君君臣臣父父子子"之道要维护的那个轶序不再回来，也切断了我们与"忠孝仁义"的关联。"信礼智勇"好歹还是一个各社会通用的生存哲学和基本要求，但我们嫁接了西方的价值理念，在儒家的词语外壳下，内涵不再。

古人曾把道德修养视为人生的终极追求，不过，在全球化的今天，个人奋斗、快乐、自由通通比道德来得重要；现在的孩子还有很多别的事要忙。

【四书五经】

从前，作为书生15岁之前便要把四书五经烂熟于心，几乎都是群"拜经教"，他们对经典的了解，足以让今天的古代文学博士生绝望。1912年1月19日，当国民政府第一任教育总长下令"小学堂读经一律废止"的时候，这是一个解放思想的壮举；作为后果，近一个世纪后，已经没有多少人回答得出来什么是四书五经了。孩子对以《大学》、《中庸》、《论语》、《孟子》；《易经》、《尚书》、《诗经》、《礼记》、《左传》为代表的古代中国的支柱思想体系，一头雾水。现在，舒乙在北京创办了一家现代私塾馆，专门教授四书五经。

自隋大业三年(607年)开始，千百年来的寒门就是通过科举跃进龙门的。从"乡试"、"会试"到"殿试"，每三年举行一次的科举考试让"天下英雄入吾彀中矣"。1300多年后，废科举，兴学校，已成为历史发展的必然趋势。西方的教育体系登堂入室。私塾成为布满历史尘蠹的老朽，而科学成了新宠。

【民风民俗】
