上古时洪水滔天，民不聊生。舜帝命鲧去治水，鲧采取不断加高河沿的办法，使河床越淤越高，最终堤岸被水冲垮，淹死无数黎民，鲧因此被舜帝殛杀，死在羽山之顶。鲧治水多年不成功，最后遭到殛杀，他冤气不散，死后，他的血液变成了一涌泉水，人称“殛鲧泉”。殛鲧泉有面盆大，常年不干涸。古书上说鲧死后变成三条腿的鳖，住在这泉中，所以殛鲧泉每遇阴雨天气，泉水便腥不可闻。这泉水便一直流到山前，形成了一片浑浊的湖泊。后来，舜帝命鲧的儿子大禹治水，他“三过家门而不入”，采取疏导的方法，治水终于成功了，羽山前的湖水也漫漫地变得清澈了。现在人们在湖里放养了一些鱼虾，天旱时还利用湖水进行灌溉农田。

如果，我们从山脚盘小路而上，一路还能看到各种各样的奇石、怪松。到了山顶，就能看到一巨大石块上用红漆书写的“殛鲧泉”三个醒目的大字。旁边还有“三缝石”，高约10米，石上有3道整齐的劈缝，石缝很深，传说是舜杀鲧时试剑的痕迹。

欢迎大家来到中国文化古迹之一——风景优美的颐和园游玩。今天由我带领你们看美丽的地方。大家可以叫我小雯。首先我要将四点注意事项，一、参观时，眼看手勿动；二、游览时不要掉队；三、不许拍照的地方不要擅自拍照；四、记住集合时间。好了，现在就让我们一起去博览颐和园的景色吧！

大家请跟我来，进了颐和园的大门，绕过大殿，就来到了有名的长廊，你们看，绿油油的柱子，红漆漆的栏杆，一眼望不到头。各位请随我来，据我所知，这条长廊有７００多米长，分成２７３间，每一间的横槛上都有五彩的画，画着人物、花草、风景，都各有不同。

大家看，我们已经走完长廊啦，来到万寿山脚下1大家抬头看，一座八角宝塔形的三层建筑耸立在半山腰上，那就是佛香阁。下面那一排排金碧辉煌的宫殿，就是排云殿。

大家看，我们已经登上了万寿山。大家向下望，葱郁的树丛，掩映着黄的、绿的琉璃瓦屋顶和朱红的宫墙。正前面，昆明湖静得像是一面镜子，绿得像一块碧玉，游船、画舫，在湖面慢慢地滑过，几乎不留一点痕迹，大家向东远眺，是不是隐隐约约可以望见几座古老的城楼和城里的白塔呢？

从万寿山下来就是昆明湖。昆明护卫者长长的堤岸，堤上有好几座式样各异的石桥。看，湖中心有个小岛，远远望去，岛上一片葱绿，树丛中露出宫殿的一角，你们走过场长的石桥就可以到小岛上游玩。好了，现在给两个小时给你们去参观颐和园的其它景色，两小时后在小岛上集中。

The main content of American culture is the emphasize on individuals value, the pursue of democracy and freedom, the promotion of deploitation(开拓, 经营) and competition and the need of realistic and practicality. Its core is individualism: self first, personal need first, pursue of individual benefit and enjoyment, emphasize on achieving individual value by self-strive and self-design. American citizens emphasize on achievements and respect heroes. They have great sense in their hearts to praise succeand heroes. Personal achievements are one of those with the highest value in Americans mind. Americans have very strong senses of success. Succeis the pursuit of most Americans, it is their attractive future and the incentives for moving forward. They believe that ones personal value is equivalent to his achievements in his career. Some high achievers in their career such as entrepreneurs, scientists, artists and all kinds of super starts became modern heroes. The proceand result of how they strived have become the frame of reference of social culture value and the real life text book for parents to educate their children.

American society has great movements within itself. These movements are shown in two aspects: movements amongst locations and movements inside the society. The United States are relatively more open and have more freedom. Developed transport and the tradition of adventure and sporty makes a lot of American migrate from countryside to cities, from downtown to uptown; and from north to the southern sunny land, from one city to another. Unlike European countries, the social classes in America is not so stable. Further more, with the advocation of public education, movements upwards along the social ladder have become possible. Today,lots of people are affected by western culture especially the new generation who born after 1990s.In my opinion,some of western culture is good but some of them are not suited.Learning western culture can let us know about what is the western custom and what differnets between chinese and western.because of comparison we can learn the positive sides such as more confident,independent.On the other side,the negative sides we should not learn.for example,some high school student even younger fall in love with others.They spend much time to do it and forget what more important things they really need to do in that moment.Indeed,every coins have two sides.how to do deal with it,I think let time make the answer.

我的家乡位于江西省东北部，地扼赣、浙、闽、皖四省之要冲，向东对接长三角，向南承接海峡西岸经济区，又处在鄱阳湖生态经济区上游，既是沿海发达地区的经济腹地，又是承东启西的咽喉要地，也是实现上饶在江西东部崛起的桥头堡。

我的家乡历史悠久，名胜古迹众多。早在唐朝就已是闻名遐迩的旅游胜地。区域内拥有俊美秀绝的“绿色”自然风光，光辉灿烂的“红色”革命遗址，丰富多彩的“古色”文化遗存。其中最有名的有：陆羽泉、东岳庙、奎文塔和五桂塔、信江书院、上饶集中营旧址等。

下面我介绍几个我喜欢的名胜古迹。

上饶集中营：上了年纪的中国人，对上饶集中营几乎无人不知，一是因为它是震惊中外的“皖南事变”的产物；二是受20世纪50年代的电影《上饶集中营》以及90年代中期的八集电视连续剧《上饶集中营》的广泛影响。闻名全国的上饶集中营是囚禁“皖南事变”中被俘的新四军将士以及东南诸省被捕的共产党员和爱国进步人士的人间地狱。

陆羽泉：陆羽泉位于上饶市区茶山寺内。唐建中四年，51虽的一代茶圣陆羽泉隐居于此，在寺旁筑山舍，环居种茶，凿石引泉，世人称为“陆羽泉”。

东岳庙：东岳庙坐落在南郊的琅琊山中，周围群山环抱，苍松叠翠，景色优美。该庙为东岳行祠，俗称“东岳庙”、“东王庙”，始建于南宋绍兴年间，至今已有800多年的历史。

信州书院坐落在上饶市区信州南岸的黄金山麓，是古代江西四大书院之一，她曾经名为曲江书院、钟灵讲院、紫阳书院，近两百年以来一直被人们称为信江书院。

The passage mainly tells us the importance of protecting traditional

Chinese culture, which is challenged or facing extinction because of the

developing society and changing lifestyle. Besides, China is nationwide sparing

no efforts to do it.

The protection of national and folk culture is of great significance to

Chinese cultural diversity and also to the harmonious development between local

economic and social development. It is reported that the Guangdong government

pays special attention to protecting Chaoju(潮剧)， a local drama born in Chaozhou

in the eastern Guangdong province.

In my opinion, some measures should be taken to protect traditional culture

effectively. To start with, we should make a law to regulate the society’s

performance. Besides, we should draw more people’s attention to it, for the more

they know about the importance of culture protection, the stronger the support

we can get from the public.

In a word, it is high time for us to treasure and develop our own valuable

culture.

It seems we are living in the conflict between modern and traditional

cultures every day. Hearing the blaring of horns the moment you step out of your

house, seeing the so called "pop" the moment you open your eyes, you cant help

thinking, "Will the traditional culture be gradually lost?"

Many people believe so. They may put right in front of you all the

evidences they can dig out. They may argue that people are rushing to

restaurants instead of cooking at home, listening to pop music but not

traditional, wearing in a way people couldnt imagine ten years ago. Modern

people like the air of freedom, not to be restrained by traditions. They offer

this long list, only trying to confirm that this world is full of

fashion,competition and temptation and the traditional culture is fading and

will be lost at last.

Though we are now living in a world in which undeclared aggression, war,

hypocrisy, chicanery, anarchy are part of our daily life. Though this is a

skeptical age, and our faith has weakened, our confidence in some aspects of the

traditional culture should and would never be lost.

Wouldnt you agree that our traditional culture is always credited with

modesty, politeness and respectfulness, which have always been treasured for

more than five thousand years?Even in this modern world, people still admire

those with good manners, those who are polite to others or respectful to old

people.

Wouldnt you agree that our Chinese traditional music is beautiful and

artistic and our Chinese tea culture is always an appealing treasure to people

around the world?

So there may just be some changes in our lifestyle or our attitudes towards

life, but little change occurs to some fundamental aspects of our traditional

culture that people still treasure in heart.
