网络，一个科技发展的产物，也是信息时代的标志。作为我们中学生，理所应当对其进行追求、探索。 这尽管是一个虚拟的空间，但它的方便、快捷、灵活等多种优点，拓展了我们的知识面，给予了我们敖游的空间。它的出现改变了人们传统的思想方法，在我们的生活中给予了我们极大的帮助；坐在家中即可浏览众多网上图书馆丰富的图书收藏；几秒种内，便可收到相隔万里的来信，在最短的时间内获得各地各种祥细的、自已想知道的信息；通过各学校开办的远程教育网了解更多的知识等等。

正由于网络的这些优点，才受到越来越多的表少年的青睐。 但又有许多人认为中学生上网弊大于利，的确网络是一个复杂的东西，它的内部充满各种信息，像反动、暴力、黄色，这类鱼龙混杂的东西太多了，我们中学生自主能力有限，实在难以抵御网络惊人的吸引力。 但网络是一个新生事物，的确中学生的自制力和网络的吸引力，可以说两者根本是无法匹敌的。网络的吸引力是无穷的，而中学生的自制力是有限的。据联合国教科文组织的不完全统计，以学习为主要目的上网的中学生，美国占总数的20%，英国为15%，中国仅仅为2%。这惊人的对比，恰如其分地说明了中学生的自制力不如网络的吸引力。它好象刚出生的婴儿，终究是需要细心的扶持的，在正确的教育、指导下，长大成人，建设国家、作出贡献。但偌是像现在这样，抑制了学生上网，不就好象将这婴儿杀死在摇篮里吗？中学生上网的人数很多，部分人受到不良影响，这正说明了是否受到不良影响取决于自身的素质与意志。俗话说得好：“人正不怕影子歪。”只要我们有不靠近这种沉溺人思想的网络传播的意志，自然也就不会受到其影响了。

利弊的区别在于你如何运用它，以及如何合理安排好时间。如果是用于成天打电子游戏，不分昼夜，肯定是弊。如果用于学习：利大于弊。如果用于聊天、游戏：弊大于利。

On the Popularity of Internet-based Instruction

With the rapid development of information technology, there is a boom in Internet-based instruction. Most of the universities offer online courses which have gained much popularity among students nowadays.

This new way of teaching brings many advantages. Firstly, it gives much convenience and freedom to students. Students can study at any time and any place as they like, even in pajamas. Secondly, it is very economical because students are not required to come to the campus, and schools can cut the expenditure on electricity and water supply, doorkeepers’ payment, park lots maintenance and so on. But online learning has drawbacks as well. One of them is that there is no effective way to ensure that students make the required efforts.

As for me, I prefer the traditional way of teaching. The face-to-face communication with teachers can give me more encouragement to learn. As a matter of fact, the direct guidance and class interaction benefit me a lot.

就我自己而言，我喜欢传统的教学方式。同老师面对面的交流能使我奋进。实际上，老师的直接指导和师生课堂互动使我获益匪浅。

Internet is now coming into our life. It brings us not only a lot of convenience ，happiness but also troubles. Some students use Internet as a too to study. They look up the meanings of the words， a translated form of a sentence，the background of an event or a story ，the information of a company or a famous person，etc.

They also read news or send e-mails through it. Internet helps them learn more and study well.

On the other hand，some students play games，chat with friends ，see the pictures or films even the unhealthy ones on the Internet the whole day. They are not interested in their subjects. It’s very dangerous for them!

The Internet’s advantages and disadvantages are shown clearly to us. I think we should make good use of it and stay away from the unhealthy websites.

互联网正在融入我们的生活。它不仅给我们带来了很多便利，开心同时也带来了麻烦。一些学生使用互联网来学习。他们看了这些单词的意思，翻译成一个句子，一个事件或故事的背景，一个公司或著名人物的信息，等等。

他们也看新闻或通过它发送电子邮件。互联网帮助他们学习更多更好。

另一方面，一些学生一整天都在网上玩游戏，与朋友聊天，看不健康的照片或电影。他们没对他们的学习感兴趣。这对他们来说很危险！

我们都很清楚互联网的优势和劣势。我认为我们应该好好利用它，远离不健康的网站。
