Chang-Err，his beautiful wife， could no longer stand by and watch him abuse his power so she stole his Elixir and fled to the moon to escape his angry wrath. And thus began the legend of the beautiful woman in the moon，the Moon Fairy.

The second legend has it that during the Yuan Dynasty，an underground group led by Zhu Yuan Zing was determined to rid the country of Mongolian dominance. The moon cake was created to carry a secret message.

When the cake was opened and the message read，an uprising was unleashed which successfully routed the Mongolians. It happened at the time of the full moon，which，some say，explains why moonquakes are eaten at this time.

I think the meaning of Mid-Autumn festival is this!

农历八月十五是中秋节。它是我们中国的一个传统节日，家人聚在一起边吃月饼，边赏月，圆圆的月饼象征着一家人团团圆圆。

月饼有很多种口味，有鲜肉馅，有冰淇淋馅，有豆沙馅……

我最喜欢冰淇淋月饼，表面看冰淇淋月饼像一朵美丽的桃花，非常惹人喜爱，漂亮得真叫人不忍心吃它。它的外皮是白巧克力做的，里面的馅是奶油冰淇淋，咬一口满嘴的奶香味，它的味道甜甜的、冰冰的，而且入口即化。

中秋节一家人围在一起边吃月饼边赏月，感觉真幸福啊！

尽管离中秋节还有一个多月的时间，但广州的月饼大战早已硝烟弥漫。广州酒家、莲香楼、陶陶居等纷纷举办了月饼订货会，各自亮出了最新鲜、最亮丽的牌张。

纵观今年月饼市场，除了花式品种样化、包装更精美外，最令人瞩目的莫过于打“文化牌”了。月饼，本来就是中华民族的特色食品，具有很浓的中国文化特点,如何体现月饼这一中国色彩呢?商家可谓想尽办法:首先是广州酒家的“西关第月饼”将广州西关最传统的民居风情“趟笼门”运用到包装上，让消费者在品尝月饼的同时了解西关文化，提升了月饼的品位;再就是莲香楼115周年个性化纪念邮票的发行，体现了其悠久历史和文化特色，增加了月饼的附加值;还有陶陶居则在传统月饼品种宝库中挖掘文化内涵加以发展……无不体现了今年月饼最突出的共同点———“文化”。

让月饼留下文化的烙印

作为广州西关饮食文化缩影之一的莲香楼在开铺115周年来临之际，国家邮政局特批准发行了莲香楼115周年个性化纪念邮票。据了解，这是全国第一家饮食行业百年老字号发行的邮票。

莲香楼举行了邮票首发式，本次发行的个性化邮票设计精美，一套共有4枚。邮票的主票以“同心结”为主图，附票的设计和构思则以莲香楼115年的悠久历史和特色文化为主题。

据了解，此次个性化邮票发行1500版，每版4套，共6000套。邮票不单独公开发售，只会装入周年纪念的月饼礼盒，日前首发仪式另外加送一枚贴有邮票并盖上邮戳的首日封，共1150个。

据广州市邮政局市场部负责人介绍，推出莲香楼的个性化邮票，主要是因为莲香楼有悠久的历史，其在国内甚至海外华侨中都有一定的知名度。“经历了115年风雨，莲香楼依旧飘香，这十分难得。”广州的百年老店现在已所剩无几，市邮政局正是因为莲香楼的历史内涵和文化底蕴，才联合推出个性化邮票。

据莲香楼的张雪清书记介绍，邮票与月饼搭配并不多见，中秋是亲人朋友团聚的节日，但许多家庭可能没能团聚，朋友难以见面。月饼蕴涵着亲情友情，而邮票包含着将这份亲情友情邮递到远方的意义;另外，月饼是中华民族的特色食品，具有很浓的中国文化特色。此次用主票为“同心结”，附票为百年莲香楼文化的特色邮票搭配月饼，体现月饼的文化品位和中国色彩。张书记表示，今年莲香楼月饼的所有组合都会与“文化”两字分不开。中国烘焙食品糖制品工业协会秘书长周广军也说，莲香楼以这种邮票与月饼相结合的方式推出其产品，不仅在广东是首次，据知，在全国也是第一次。

此次莲香楼将个性化邮票放入月饼礼盒受到月饼客商的，月饼礼盒还未推出时已经有各地客户大量订购，其中不乏来自西藏与新疆的客户。而新疆的客户因为宗教信仰需要，还特别要求莲香楼制作了清真月饼来与这次的个性化邮票搭配。

兔儿爷的起源约在明末。

明人纪坤(约一六三六年前后在世)的《花王阁剩稿》：“京中秋节多以泥抟兔形，衣冠踞坐如人状，儿女祀而拜之。”到了清代，兔儿爷的功能已由祭月转变为儿童的中秋节玩具。制作也日趋精致，有扮成武将头戴盔甲、身披戢袍的、也有背插纸旗或纸伞、或坐或立的。坐则有麒麟虎豹等等。也有扮成兔首人身之商贩、或是剃头师父、或是缝鞋、卖馄饨、茶汤的，不一而足。

“每届中秋，市人之巧者，用黄土抟成蟾兔之像以出售，谓之兔儿爷。”旧时北京东四牌楼一带，常有兔儿爷摊子，专售中秋祭月用的兔儿爷。此外，南纸店，香烛也有出售的。这兔儿爷，经过民间艺人的大胆创造，已经人格化了。它是兔首人身，手持玉杵。后来有人仿照戏曲人物，把兔儿爷雕造成金盔金甲的武士，有的骑着狮、象等猛兽，有的骑着孔雀，仙鹤等飞禽。特别是兔儿爷骑虎，虽属怪事，但却是民间艺人的大胆创造。还有一种肘关节和下颔能活动的兔儿爷，俗称“叭哒嘴”，更讨人喜欢。它虽为拜月的供品，但实在是孩子们的绝妙玩具。

在几十年前的北京街头，大约六十多岁以上老北京都还能记得。一过七月十五，兔儿爷摊子就摆出来了。前门五牌楼、后门鼓楼前、西单、东四等处，到处都是兔儿爷摊子，大大小小，高高低低，摆的极为热闹。

Mid Autumn Festival is a traditional festival of China. It used to be as

important as Spring Festival .It is usually celebrated in September or Ocotber.

This festival is to celebrate the havast and to enjoy the beautiful moon

light.To some extent, it is like Thanks Giving day in western countries. On this

day, people usually get together with their families and have a nice meal. After

that, people always eat delicious moon cakes, and watch the moon. The moon is

always very round on that day, and makes people think of their relitives and
