Since I was very small, I was very shy in the public place, so I always

avoided giving performance in front of so many people. Though I tried hard to

get over it in school, I still felt uneasy in the public place. When I came to

the job market, I realized that I must get over my fear, or I would lose my

stage.

I still remembered the horrible experience for my first interview. Early in

the morning, I got a called that I was given a chance to the job interview. I

felt so excited. When I came to the company, I found there were other six young

people competed with me, then I started to feel nervous. The employers asked us

to sit in the round table and introduced ourselves one by one. When it was my

turn, I lowed down my head and spoke in low voice. Then the employers continued

to let us give speeches in the stage. I lose confidence and made the horrible

performance.

This interview taught me a lesson that I must get over my fear, or I will

lose chances. So I practise hard and dare to stand in the stage.

据说，在秦以前，关中人不使用瓦盆瓦罐，当时也没有陶制器物。秦始皇二十二岁正式执政后，就下令大规模地修建他的陵墓。他察看过许多地方，最后看中了骊山。骊山风光秀丽，加上山阴产玉，山阳多金，金玉双全，正符合他的迷信思想，所以把墓地定在骊山北麓。他不仅从全国调来七十多万“刑徒”，还从山东、河南等地征发来大量民夫。修建期间，秦始皇还下诏书叫李斯提前征集数千对童男童女准备为他殉葬。李斯看了诏书，吓得目瞪口呆。他想，要征集这么多童男童女殉葬，必然会遭到百姓反对，人们一旦起来造反，秦朝江山就会垮台。但是如果不办，皇帝降罪下来，自己就活不了。想来想去，只得上书秦始皇说：“臣李斯，冒死直言，君征人殉，必引骚乱，不如陶殉，江山平安。”秦始皇见了，觉得有道理。他还想，如让活人殉葬，在阴间不听调遣，死后也不得安宁。于是改变原意，立即下旨令李斯征集全国能工巧匠，烧成规模庞大的出巡仪仗队，要求把陶人、陶马制得和真人真马一样大小。

九天过去，李斯从民夫中抽调出数百名烧制砖瓦的工匠，向他们宣读了圣旨，命令他们按期烧好陶人、陶马。

但是，抽调来的工匠谁也没做过陶人陶马，只会烧砖瓦。他们试烧多次都烧坏了，有一百多名工匠被砍了头。就在这批被杀的工匠中，有个老工匠想出个法儿，他在临死前告诉他的儿子，要他单窑分段烧制。儿子含泪埋了父亲，按照父亲生前嘱咐，单窑单俑分段烧，烧成后再组合。经过几次试烧，终于烧成了。

这个方法试验成功后，工匠们齐心协力，经过日以继夜的苦干，几千件陶人、陶马终于按期如数烧制好了，并按照李斯的要求，把陶俑排成整齐的队形。

秦始皇驾崩，秦二世胡亥继承了帝位。他怕修建工匠泄露墓中秘密，便暗地把秦始皇灵柩运入墓中，然后下令叫所有参加修。建陵墓的人，一齐到墓中看戏，并领赏赐。可怜那些流血流汗、为修建秦始皇陵墓卖过大力的工匠、民夫和刑徒，全上了秦二世的当。他们刚刚走进陵墓，便被封闭在墓中，成了殉葬品。传说只有一个人逃了出来，这人就是第一个制成陶俑的青年小伙子。原来，秦始皇陵墓里的水道是他修砌的。他见事情不妙，便钻进水道，等到天黑才逃了出来。后来他流浪关中，给人们烧制瓦盆、瓦罐和瓦瓮为生。

直到如今，这些陶制品还很受关中人们的欢迎哩。

Food between China and Western countries are totally different styles. China has 5000 years history. We probably spend half of time on food. Chinese people choice food very carefully. They only use fresh material to make food. For example they only eat fresh fish.

Chinese have a lot of ideas and techniques for cooking. We can cook a chicken in over ten ways. That’s why Chinese food is so popular in the world. Western country like English or American, they don’t have fresh food because they buy their food from supermarket which only sells stored materials. Western people would also prefer fast food like burgers and chips.

They are unhealthy to human body. Western people do not have many skills for cooking, mostly they only boil, steam and bake the food. In my life I have met many people who are really worth my recalling. But perhaps the most unforgettable person I ever knew is my Chinese language teacher.

What frequently brings back memories of my school teacher is his special qualities. First of all, I was attracted by his lively wit. I remember we always long for his class with great eagerness because his lecture were humorously delivered, never failing to provoke loud laughs. 而是他们身上令人尊敬的品德，见人鞠躬一定达到九十度，无论对方年龄大小都称呼为“老师”，每一次台下观众鼓掌，站在一旁的义工们必是鞠躬表示感谢，四天来，我看见的加上我没看见的，我不知道他们每一个义工鞠了多少次躬，真的是数也数不清。在这些义工当中，上至八十多岁的老人，下至十一二岁的儿童，在我看来，我们这些人哪里称得上是“老师”啊?他们，才是我要学习和尊重的老师啊!

这些义工们，给我留下了深刻的印象，只想说一句，感恩，感谢!

My hometown is beautiful place It stands near a wide river at the foot of low green hills. It has many tall buildings and wide streets. There are trees and flowers everywhere.

But it has not always been like that. In the old days, it was a sad dirty little town. Landlords and merchants lived in the few good houses. For the working people there were only dark, unhealthy rooms in old buildings and huts in narrow muddy streets. Nearly everyone was poor and many had no work.

Everything has changed since liberation. The people, led by the Party, have got rid of the mud and dirt. They have put up schools, theaters, shops and flats. Good morning, my admirable professors and my dear fellows. It’s my great

honor to be here to introduce myself to all of you. My name is Xing Heng and I’m

in my eighteen years old. I come fromXiamen, which is a famous and beautiful

city. I strongly suggest you visiting there and I can be your guide if it’s

convenient. After three years’ hard work, I am so excited that I am finally

enrolled by my dreaming school,SichuanUniversityand be one of you. I am outgoing

and I have many interests, such as playing basketball, football, and swimming,

but I am only good at basketball. I hope we can always play together in the next

four years. Computer Science and Technology is my favorite subject and I am sure

that it’s also a promising area in the future, with the great development of

computer science and our society. I am glad to be a classmate of you and I hope

we can study and make progress together in the future. I greatly expect my life

to be with you in the coming four years.

Every Chinese knows the importance of the college entrance examination, so the high school students always can feel the stress from that exam, especially when that day is nearby. Some students will not do as well as usual because of heavy stress. It is necessary to adjust their mood well before the exam. They should not give too much pressure to themselves, instead of having usual heart. Then they can do in working order. To reach this goal, they can spare time to do some sports or just go running and keep telling themselves that the exam can’t decide their future, so they try their best would be OK and no one will blame them. The purpose is make them feel relax, as the status of relax is the best state for achieving good marks in the exam. It is helpful.

每个中国人都知道高考的重要性，所以，高考生常常能够感受到高考给予他们的压力，特别是高考即将来临的时候。有些学生会因为压力而在考试中发挥失常。在考试前调节好心情非常有必要。他们不应该给自己太大的压力，而是应该以平常心对待。这样才能正常发挥。所以，可以选择挤一点时间去运动或者跑跑步或者自我催眠高考并不能决定自己的未来，只要尽自己最大的努力就可以了，也没有人会责怪自己的。这样做的目的是让他们放松，因为放松是在考试中取得好成绩最好的状态。这个方法真的有用。
