“百里不同风，千里不同俗。”春节，是中国最重要、最盛大的传统节日，各个地区都有不同的习俗。

在腊月二十八这一天，大人们都在忙碌。忙着杀鸡、杀鹅，购买对联、字画。小孩子们呢？都在干什么呢？我们小孩子就跟着一些比较大的哥哥或姐姐一起去后面山上摘一些煮水的东西。例如：黄竹叶、柚子叶等，洗走一年的霉气，干干净净地迎接下一年的到来。这一洗，就是好几天。

除此之外，大人把后山砍回来的甘蔗，分给几个比较大的孩子，当然我也不例外，让我们把这个甘蔗砍成好几段小小的，然后每个房间放两段，再把买回来的年桔每个房间放一个，放在甘蔗上面，就过去帮爷爷奶奶那一辈的揉面团，再做鹅板汤。

过了这一天，也就是腊月二十九一早，我们一家一起吃早饭。早饭与我们平时吃的很不一样。平时吃的是面包配牛奶这一类的，可今天吃的却是平时的午饭：白切鸡、鹅肉、青菜和粉丝，再配上白米饭。而中午吃的则是昨天做好的鹅板汤。

除夕这一天人们又开始忙碌起来了。一大早，大人们就把字画涂上浆糊，贴在大门口、房门口和厨房地等地方。门外不时地传来爆竹的响声。傍晚，按照惯例，孩子们都已经用不同叶子煮的水洗好了澡，正满心欢喜地穿着新衣服，到处都在比谁的新衣更漂亮，谁都不愿服输。到晚上吃饭的点了，所有人都聚在院子里，吃着年夜饭。每一年人都会有很多，随便数数都有十几个人了。每次年夜饭时，菜都会准备很多，饭准备得相对来说比较少，因为大多数长辈都只是吃菜饱的。

总算是熬到了晚上，到了炱茅草的时候，我们男孩子们人手一盒火柴，将稻柴把做引火物……今个儿咱可是欢喜的要命，平时小孩子是绝不准玩火的!

像约好了似的，我和几个小伙伴高举着火把，奔出门去，兴高采烈地向不远的田野进军了。不多一会儿，空旷的田野里便出现了一条条舞动着的长火龙，到处火光闪闪，无数火龙在田野中狂飞乱舞，长长的火龙一边进发一边发出“呲呲”的声儿。

秦朝设县之后，厌次县城几经迁徙，北宋大中祥符八年（1015年），始迁棣州治、厌次县治至阳信县界乔子镇之八方寺（今惠民县城址）。为加强对北方的控制，抵御外侮，崇宁元年（1102年）始，工部尚书牛保奉诏督修棣州城。“葺一州城，何以工部尚书行？盖棣州在宋为边境重镇之故也。”（明嘉靖二十七年《武定州志》）北宋时期，惠民县是山东北部与辽国接近的边疆重镇，战略位置险要。建设棣州城墙，“九年克绩”，牛保积劳成疾，病故于此。当地群众在城西20里择址建冢（即今之牛保冢遗址），以示纪念。自此，每逢正月十六、九月初九，都有一天的香火盛会。绵延千年，香火不绝。后人有诗赞其曰：

棣州城工程之浩瀚，防守之坚固，堪称州城之楷模。史料载：“……（棣州城）周十二里，崇三仞有三尺，上阔丈余，基倍之。东南西北门四，各三重……外门额各有石？青肃、明远、景山、靖安字。内门有楼，匾曰春风、明远、景山、紫薇。复浚濠潴，水深二丈，阔五丈。有飞桥，又修护堤，延袤三十余里。”古城呈矩形，南、北、东、西四门各设翁城和城门楼。城外有郭。宋时用三合土夯筑而成。城墙高10米，顶宽13米，底宽26米。周长12里。城外护城河绕城一周，河宽30米，水深10。8米，全长17里，形成天然屏障。古城号包括吊桥、角楼、敌楼、女儿墙、垛口等军事设施。城墙上设敌台，备有刀、矛、弓弩、滚石等冷兵器，自明代始配有火炮（现存明代火炮2门、清代火炮1门）。历代统治者曾先后13次对其加固维修，到明代，城墙使用青砖包砌。即所谓“或增修其未备，或缮治其将颓”。直至日本侵略军占领此城之后，还在南关修筑了一段套城。为防辽兵袭击，城内四角均设兵营，如今西北营、西南营、东南营（后称宋家营）、东北营（即大王营）等已成为城内的村街。筑城期间，由于就近取土约35万m3，城内形成了许多大小不等的坑塘，俗称海子。相传城内原有72个海子。这些海子与护城河成为一个系统，对于调节城内环境气候、保证居民生产生活用水发挥了重要作用。

我们家乡过春节和别的地方很不一样，差不多在腊月二十三就开始了，一直到正月十五结束。

许多孩子都很喜欢过春节，我也不例外。而春节也会按照我们自己的风俗习惯举行。

春节开始的头几天，家家户户都在买东西祭祀祖先。很多孩子因为那些好吃的食物，往往都不睡觉。他们怕食物被别人抢光，只有把东西放到他们手里。他们才能安静地睡。

春节时当然一切都得是新的。穿新衣服……把家里打扫干净也是必不可少的。不论桌子，地板，还是被子，床单都得洗一遍，这样才能迎接新的一年。

到了晚上，一家人围着桌子吃团圆饭。在年菜当中，那红红的大闸蟹是我们小孩子的最爱，大人们则举着杯子，喝老酒呢!

吃完饭，我们女孩把买的烟花拿出来，点燃后，烟花如一颗颗璀璨的星星，在深蓝的夜空中显得格外美丽。每年的这个时候，家家都会燃放烟花，一个个小火球窜上天空，只听见“嘭“的一声，撞开一朵朵花。

My home town is in the center of Xuzhou which was a quiet and beautiful place. In the past, there were many animals. They were lovely and nice. The air was fresh and there were many birds fly in the sky.
