My home town is a beautiful place. It stands beside a wide river and is rich in fish and rice.

But in the old days it was a poor and backward little town. Many people had no work. They lived a hard life.

自古逢秋悲寂寥，我言春日胜春朝。秋天是丰收的季节，喜悦的季节。一台台收割机在田间来回穿梭着，不时发出哽咽的声音。那金黄的稻穗在微风的吹拂下，发出哗哗地声响。看着一袋袋胜利的果实人们露出了笑脸，欣慰之情顿时驱走了所有的劳累。

忽如一夜春风来，千树万树梨花开，不知不觉，寒冷的冬天到了。人们三五成群地围在炉火旁，相互攀谈，谈论今年的收成，谈论明年的打算，笑声洋溢着整个屋子。下大雪了，我的家乡就像披上了一件白绒似的大衣，纯洁而又美丽。看！孩子们快乐地挥舞着小手，堆雪人，打雪仗，虽然天气很冷，但是他们的内心却是无比的快乐！你听，一串串银铃般的笑声在村庄上空回荡。纯朴的村民们手里拿着大扫帚，扫出一条条道儿来，为过往的行人提供方便。
